TWO MULES well-laden with packs were trudging along. One carried panniers filled with money, the other sacks weighted with grain. The Mule carrying the treasure walked with head erect, as if conscious of the value of his burden, and tossed up and down the clear-toned bells fastened to his neck. His companion followed with quiet and easy step. All of a sudden Robbers rushed upon them from their hiding-places, and in the scuffle with their owners, wounded with a sword the Mule carrying the treasure, which they greedily seized while taking no notice of the grain. The Mule which had been robbed and wounded bewailed his misfortunes. The other replied, “I am indeed glad that I was thought so little of, for I have lost nothing, nor am I hurt with any wound.”

Those who are rich tend to have more problems than those who live humbly. Thus, money is not the source of our happiness.

Boundaries of Christian Freedom

-         The Un-lawful – 1Co 6:12a    ESV “All things are lawful for me,” is not true

-         The Un-beneficial -1Co 6:12b   ESV but not all things are helpful.

-         The Un-liberating (enslaving) -1Co 6:12c

ESV but I will not be enslaved by anything.

Gal 5:1c  ESV  do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

-         The Un-edifying – Rom 14:20  Do not,

for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for anyone to make another stumble by what he eats.

whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

T E N – Y E A R   G O A L S  (2 0 0 7 – 2 0 1 7)

I. At the Center

GOAL 1. 2,000 REGULAR WORSHIPERS.

Having at least 2,000 regular Sunday worshipers either in one sitting or in multiple worship services.

MEANS

Setting up of actively gathering and ministering centers in all districts in Iloilo City.

1. Conduct evangelistic concert in every I.C. district (“Belinda in Concert”)
2. Opening of more Home BS
3. Massive challenge of “each one, bring one” and regular recognition/giving of incentives to members who have brought the highest number of visitors.
4. Activation of groupings.
5. Giving out of invitation flyers.

GOAL 2. A SANCTUARY. A STUDIO WITH HIGH TECH EQUIPMENTS. TRANSPORT VEHICLES. Building of a sanctuary standing on no less that 2000 sq. meter lot within city proper with a studio complete with amenities and high tech equipments for recording, worship and other related ministries and purposes. Acquisition of three (3) transport vehicles and one (1) bus to answer the transportation need.

MEANS

1. Pledges; 5 peso para Sanctuario
2. Business ventures of brethren benefiting the church
3. Caroling proceeds
4. Active sourcing, Solicitation, pledging, special offerings, YP to make projects/presentations to raise fund
5. Ask/Accept donations

GOAL 3. DISTRICT CENTERS. Setting up of actively gathering and ministering centers in all districts in Iloilo City.

MEANS

1. District evangelistic concerts.
2. Assign pastor in charge of each district, responsible for preliminary activities before the concert, and eventual shepherding of the flock.
3. Said pastor in charge to initiate the conduct of a HBS per barangay in the area.

II. Extension

GOAL 4. 10 LOCAL MUNICIPAL OUTREACHES. Putting up of additional 10 IGC local churches within Iloilo province.

MEANS

1. IGC City Iloilo City will meet for planning on means of reaching this goal.

GOAL 5. FIVE (5) OTHER CITY CHURCHES. Opening at least five (5) other city churches in the Philippines in cooperation with IGMS.

MEANS

1. The IGMS ExeCom will meet for planning on means of reaching this goal.

GOAL 6. FIVE (5) churches and affiliates ABROAD. Having at least five (5) other IGC sister-churches and affiliates abroad.

MEANS

1. Strengthen links with KSA
2. Open Website asap
3. Get in touch with possible contacts abroad
4. The IGMS ExeCom will meet for planning on more means of reaching this goal

III. Other Ministries

GOAL 7. MEDIA MINISTRY. Start and expand mass media ministry.

MEANS

1. The Senior Pastor will look for possibilities pf getting back into the radio broadcast ministry as well into writing articles on local Newspaper.
2. Booklets, tracts, news magazines, books will be written and published.
3. The current Newsletter will be reformatted and published as “Collector’s Item.”

GOAL 8. INSTITUTE FOR CHRISTIAN LEADERS (ICL). Kick off, expansion, and extension of Institute for Christian Leaders.

MEANS

1. ICL will be initiated in 2008
2. The IGMS ExeCom will meet for the developmental plan of ICL.

GOAL 9. 20 IGC PASTORS. Reaching a total of not less than 20 visionary, zealous and actively involved pastors.

MEANS

1. Start the Global Pastors Fellowship
2. Start the ICL Block sessions with them
3. Start municipal outreaches through them
